Strawberry season officially began as local u-pick farms opened along Crumstown Trail yesterday. Ziegler's U-Pick Strawberries sells boxes (5 to 6 lbs for $19, cash and checks accepted) as warmer weather inspires community picking.
CAVA is now open in Mishawaka at Princess City Plaza (off Grape Road) and offers Mediterranean-style bowls, pitas, salads, dips and drinks. The restaurant welcomed its first customers on Wednesday, with local leaders Gino Carlin and Alex Gomez highlighting its menu during 16 News Now at Noon.
