THEATRE BASICS | 3rd-5th Grade

Theatre Basics builds on the imaginative foundation solidified in the Creative Dramatics curriculum. Classes introduce fundamental stage techniques and the vocabulary required for success on the stage.

Skills Focused: Improv, Devising, Physical Comedy

Are you ready to defend the house? Step into the shoes of Kevin McCallister, the Wet Bandits, and the rest of the chaotic McCallister clan in this high-energy, six-week improv class! Inspired by the classic movie series, Home Alone: Unscripted turns the art of quick thinking and physical comedy into the ultimate theatrical playground. Over six weeks, young actors will learn the rules of improvisation while diving headfirst into the Home Alone universe. Through hilarious theatre games, character creation, and stage combat safety, students will discover how to think on their feet, the benefits of collaboration, active listening and to say: “Yes, and!”
