- ➤ Fiddler’s Hearth celebrated its annual New Year’s Eve tradition — First Foot — when local George Mallet entered the pub at 7 p.m. carrying a log of peat and a bottle of scotch to bring good luck for the coming year in South Bend. WNDU
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Indiana SNAP recipients must follow new limits on candy & sugary drinks starting today. The policy is part of Gov. Braun’s Make Indiana Healthy Again plan and comes from USDA rules set last May. WNDU
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Utah and West Virginia will enforce new SNAP rules that bar soda and candy purchases starting today. The two-year waiver aims to promote better nutrition and will require studies on impacts for participants, retailers and the program from the Food and Nutrition Service — officials said. WSBT

Long time administrator who passed away recently from heart attack will be honored this Friday Night. Coach Mike Lightfoot former Head Coach at Bethel will share at half time of the Goshen- Mishawaka boys basketball game. I scholarship fund is being launched in Mr Troyers name for a Mishawaka student to receive to attend Bethel University
