- ➤ Tippecanoe Place Restaurant in the historic Studebaker mansion closed its doors Monday after 46 years of serving local diners — marking the end of a long-standing community favorite. WNDU
- ➤ Goshen-based Interra Credit Union has appointed Michael Varner as vice president, commercial banking development officer; he leaves Kruggel, Lawton and Company after a 30-year career in public accounting — he will use his expertise in accounting and tax planning to help local businesses and strengthen community ties. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Penn High School exceeded Indiana’s record with a 97.3% graduation rate for the Class of 2025, with nearly half of the students earning Academic High Honors while the class earned over $22 million in scholarships and six became National Merit Scholarship Finalists. WNDU
- ➤ Commercial pesticide applicators must attend workshops to keep their licenses current. One workshop for Category 1 holders (for agricultural licenses) is on Jan. 28 at Essenhaus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and another is on Jan. 29 at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen; registration closes Jan. 22. Long time administrator who passed away recently from heart attack will be honored this Friday Night. Coach Mike Lightfoot former Head Coach at Bethel will share at half time of the Goshen- Mishawaka boys basketball game. I scholarship fund is being launched in Mr Troyers name for a Mishawaka student to receive to attend Bethel University
