  • Local politicians and residents oppose Senate Bill 248 that would replace South Bend's elected school board with appointed members — state senators include Ryan Mishler from Mishawaka. Teachers, officials and community members say the change will reduce local control over education.  WNDU
  • Forty-nine individuals became U.S. citizens at the U.S. District Court in South Bend on Friday, Jan. 9 after taking the Oath of Allegiance, and their family members celebrated the milestone.  South Bend Tribune

    Long time administrator who passed away recently from heart attack will be honored this Friday Night. Coach Mike Lightfoot former Head Coach at Bethel will share at half time of the Goshen- Mishawaka boys basketball game. I scholarship fund is being launched in Mr Troyers name for a Mishawaka student to receive to attend Bethel University
