- ➤ A $10 million federal grant was announced yesterday by the State Board of Education in a partnership between the Indiana Department of Education and Notre Dame to boost student literacy. Governor Braun says the funding will expand the Tutor-ND model (virtual tutoring) to support rural and underserved communities. 95.3 MNC
- ➤ The Indiana Department of Education announced a $10 million federal grant to expand Notre Dame’s Tutor-ND tutoring program statewide. Notre Dame will serve as the coordination hub — recruiting additional universities to support students, officials said. WVPE

- ➤ On Jan.15, heavy snowfall forced closures for schools, businesses and government offices in the South Bend region, with the School City of Mishawaka holding e-learning days while travelers faced slick roads around Mishawaka.
