- ➤ South Bend's Center for the Homeless has nearly tripled its capacity for its Weather Amnesty program to shelter people from dangerous cold as temperatures remain low this week. The program started Nov. 1 and runs through May 1 (over 6,000 beds have been used compared to 2,000 last winter). WNDU
- ➤ Residents took advantage of nearly empty ice skating rinks despite bitter cold temperatures Tuesday night — friends at Ironworks Plaza in Mishawaka enjoyed playing games, while IU South Bend students earned academic credit at Howard Park. WNDU
- ➤ Community leaders and partners unveiled the new name of the M-L-K Dream Center (Tuesday, Jan. 20) at its Mishawaka site. The center will continue serving local residents as an active resource hub. WNDU
