  • Lisa and Lexus Lacy, who lost their home in a fire five years ago and now sleep in their car with two service dogs, continue to struggle with today's cold weather and limited income for basic needs while facing shelter barriers (local outreach teams and the St. Joseph County count will soon offer support).  WNDU
  • The CASA Program of St. Joseph County is seeking volunteers for pre-service training starting Feb. 10 at the CASA Training Room in the Juvenile Justice Center in South Bend. The sessions run Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through March 19 to support over 80 children awaiting advocates.  WNDU

  • Indiana Michigan Power has temporarily halted non-payment disconnects until Jan. 30 due to extreme cold, and it will check weather forecasts on Jan. 31 to decide next steps.  95.3 MNC

  • The NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships will take place from March 4 to March 7 at Beacon’s Elkhart Health and Aquatics—Bethel University has partnered with local groups to host the event for the second year, inviting over 20 top collegiate programs.  InkFreeNews

    Long time administrator who passed away recently from heart attack will be honored this Friday Night. Coach Mike Lightfoot former Head Coach at Bethel will share at half time of the Goshen- Mishawaka boys basketball game. I scholarship fund is being launched in Mr Troyers name for a Mishawaka student to receive to attend Bethel University
