  • Kuert Concrete from South Bend earned the Indiana Ready Mixed Concrete Association 2025 Healthcare Award for its work on the Beacon Memorial Hospital 11-story tower built while the hospital stayed open. The project will complete in August.  Michiana Business News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • St. Joseph County Council President Bryan Tanner said the Humane Society requested $1.3 million for 2026—more than double last year's funding—leading to a special council meeting Tuesday and an extension of animal control through March. If an agreement is not reached, the sheriff department will provide control in unincorporated areas.  WVPE
