- ➤ George Wilson Park in Mishawaka will receive major upgrades this year that add four-season recreation — including skiing, snowboarding, tubing lanes, and a carpet lift — thanks to a $1.5 million grant from local tourism and hotel boards. - ➤ Lerner Theatre will host the 5th Annual Oaklawn’s Got Talent on Friday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. Five local acts will perform live for a $5,000 prize while audience voting at five dollars per vote supports Oaklawn’s mental health and addiction treatment services. 95.3 MNC
- ➤ The Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Center held its annual Black History Skate Night Sunday at Howard Park to celebrate African American history and introduce families to ice sports. - ➤ The Whitko Lady Wildcats won their second regional championship on Saturday, Feb. 14 with a 64-28 victory over Eastside at the Warsaw tournament.
