- ➤ United Way of St. Joseph County announced on March 19th that its 2024 Fall Grant Cycle ended after reviewing 62 competitive applications and awarding $350,000 to over 15 local organizations. - ➤ Zoo Luminate kicked off yesterday at Potawatomi Zoo and will run until May 25; the event offers 57 full-size animal displays, interactive screens, and a lantern-style light show modeled after Chinese festivals—admission is $20 for adults and $15 for children with discounted rates for Zoo Members. - ➤ South Bend teen David H from Portage School of Leaders was named 2025 Youth of the Year by the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor for his strong performance in school and community activities. - ➤ The City of Mishawaka closed N. Hill Street to southbound traffic between Ironworks Avenue and Front Street on Tuesday for fire damage remediation and staged a dumpster for crews. Traffic is detoured east on Ironworks Avenue to Mill Street then to Front Street—officials said the restriction will last until April 25 if weather permits. ABC57
