The Potawatomi Zoo will open in 2025 as executive director Josh Sisk explained on WNDU 16 News Now at Noon what new attractions visitors can expect.

He detailed plans that are set to enhance the zoo experience in the coming season.

On April 17th, the Women’s Empowerment Brunch will take place at the Aria Ballroom at Hotel Elkhart to raise funds for Rose Garden Recovery Community—doors open at 11 a.m. with the program starting at 11:30 a.m.—and will feature a silent auction and inspiring presentations—tickets cost $60—to support women on their recovery journey.

A special fundraising event will be held next month to benefit Rose Garden Recovery Community—an addiction treatment center that empowers women on their journey to recovery and success in Michiana.

Nineteen-year-old Alexis Moro was arrested after allegedly breaking and entering a residence shortly after 3 a.m. on March 26; two residents said they were inside when he entered through a ground floor window and into the bedrooms before he fled and was taken into custody nearby.

Attorney General Todd Rokita filed a lawsuit in Marion Superior Court alleging that General Motors and OnStar secretly collected and sold Indiana drivers' personal data to raise insurance rates.

The suit seeks a permanent injunction along with civil penalties and consumer restitution to stop these practices.

Indiana Junior All-Stars have been chosen with a core group that includes Luke Ertel, Justin Curry, Kai McGrew, Steven Reynolds III, Dikembe Shaw and Noah Smith—six tall players ready for action—and will compete in two upcoming games.

They will play a girls-boys doubleheader against the Kentucky Junior All-Stars on June 1 at 2 p.m. and against the Indiana All-Stars on June 4 at 6 p.m.—coached by Terre Haute North’s Todd Woelfle with assistant Eli Henson.
