- ➤ Former NFL quarterback Daunte Culpepper will headline the Family and Children's Center's Spotlight Dinner on April 10 at 6 p.m. at Four Winds Casino in South Bend to raise funds for local child abuse prevention programs. ABC57
- ➤ A Rosie Run for Children 5k is raising funds for Rosie Place for Children, a home-away-from-home for kids who receive care at Indiana’s only specialty hospital for medically fragile children. The scenic run will take place on the University of Notre Dame campus today. WSBT
- ➤ The South Bend Auto Show at the Century Center features over 150 vehicles including classic, muscle, and race cars, trucks, and motorcycles along with a swap meet, a man cave to watch basketball, and a kids' zone with bounce houses. The event ran until 7 PM Saturday and is open today from 9 AM to 4 PM (admission is $10 for adults) (seniors, veterans, and first responders pay $5 while kids 12 and under enter free). WSBT

- ➤ A police officer kicked in a door at 1:10 a.m. on March 29 to rescue a 7-year-old from a burning house on the 1000 block of Huey Street in South Bend and later his mother was jailed on suspicion of neglect. South Bend Tribune

- ➤ Bethel University Department of Music and Theatre performed 'The Sound of Music' on March 29 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Everest-Rohrer Chapel and Fine Arts Center. The group will also hold a sensory-friendly show on April 3 at 10 a.m., a performance on April 4 at 7 p.m., and another on April 5 at 7 p.m. with tickets priced at $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and $10 for children 12 and under (tickets are still on sale).
