- ➤ St. Joseph Grade School and St. Vincent de Paul Society held their annual Promise Walk on Thursday afternoon, with students collecting donations before a 10-minute walk to honor a Marian High School student who died in a car accident over 20 years ago. - ➤ The South Bend Community School Corporation named Mansour Eid as superintendent after the school board unanimously approved his contract on April 17. - ➤ St. Joseph County Police Department warned motorists that traveling on Cleveland Road between Beech and Ash Roads this Saturday will be delayed due to heavy traffic from thousands of soccer families and nearby construction — traffic officers will guide vehicles and delays will continue every weekend until mid-June.
