  • On April 22, the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation foundation reached a milestone—more than $1.6 million was raised for Miracle Field at Normain Heights Park, Northern Indiana’s first inclusive baseball field for players with disabilities—and the committee now plans to raise additional funds to add a playground, covered pavilions, walking trail, basketball courts, and splash pad to complete the park renovation.  ABC57

  • April 18 marked the 80th anniversary of Ernie Pyle's death as the famed Hoosier wartime journalist whose reporting brought the experiences of common soldiers in World War II to the public.
