ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On May 5, township firefighters responded to a fire at two pole barns on Bremen Highway that damaged lawn mowers, an RV and cars—no one was hurt and the owners were out of town as crews fought the blaze from the outside and brought it under control by 7:40 p.m.  South Bend Tribune
  • Early Tuesday morning just after 1 a.m. a fire on Lexington Circle in the Lexington Glen subdivision killed a man and his two pets while four others escaped with only minor injuries.  WNDU

CULTURE NEWS

  • Mishawaka will host Tribute Fest at Ironworks Plaza on Saturday, May 10, where music acts will honor John Mellencamp, Garth Brooks and Elton John. The event will start at 3:00 p.m. with food trucks, alcohol vendors and a $15 ticket fee—with free entry for kids 10 and under.  City of Mishawaka
