  • The Mishawaka School Board approved a contract for Crisis Prevention Institute training to help staff de-escalate classroom situations. Former administrator Mike Fisher will train educators for up to 30 days for $400 a day during the upcoming school year.  WSBT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • South Bend International Airport held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday as it began a $20 million renovation project to add rideshare lanes and redesign the facade. The 18-month construction will close part of the parking lot to create separate lanes for commercial vehicles — easing traffic flow.  WNDU

  • Notre Dame men's lacrosse will face Johns Hopkins in an NCAA quarterfinal match at noon Saturday in Hempstead following a win over Jacksonville on Mother's Day. Coach Kevin Corrigan uses lessons from former coach Lou Holtz to guide the team.  WNDU
