- ➤ Mishawaka schools will extend crisis prevention training after the board approved a new program to help teachers calm students during tense moments. The training will cover communication, body language, and de-escalation techniques, with former administrator Mike Fisher leading sessions. 95.3 MNC
- ➤ Indiana University South Bend awarded nearly 900 degrees on May 10 at the Joyce Center on the Notre Dame campus. Graduates ranged in age from 19 to 69 and included classes from December 2025 and May and August 2026. Michiana Business News
- ➤ Hoosiers with low incomes who earn industry credentials will soon have access to federal Workforce Pell Grants. - ➤ Gov. Mike Braun signed a new bell-to-bell law that will ban the use of personal devices in classrooms during the school day. Schools will adopt new policies when the law goes into effect July 1 (exceptions apply for emergencies and special needs). InkFreeNews
