- ➤ The City of South Bend will begin construction on the Mishawaka Avenue Streetscape Project today to add new sidewalks, lighting, water mains, and landscaping along Mishawaka Avenue between Beyer/Longfellow and Emerson. During work only one westbound lane will be open, eastbound traffic will detour, and the project will finish in two phases by the end of September — access to businesses will be maintained. 95.3 MNC
