  • Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County bought Oak Grove Mobile Home Park to build new homes—pushing a needed relocation—and has helped 24 of 34 families move with cash assistance that aided eight in buying homes.   • Twelve St. Joseph County police officers completed a 40-hour Crisis Intervention Team Certification Training course at the South Bend Police Department, equipping them to better recognize and safely assist individuals in mental health crisis — the training helps divert those with serious challenges from the criminal justice system when appropriate.  ABC57
  • Indiana may lose major food benefits if a proposed federal bill passes—this legislation would shift $356 million in SNAP costs to the state and could affect over 600,000 residents while food banks warn of a loss of 133 million meals.
