EDUCATION NEWS

  • WNDU-TV teamed with Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, Goodwill, Meijer and partners to launch the Pack-a-Backpack drive that gives local children from kindergarten through sixth grade a backpack and school supplies for a $10 donation — donations are processed through Goodwill Industries of Michiana. The drive supplies items such as pencil boxes, crayons, notebooks and more — ensuring children have the tools they need for the new school year.  WNDU

  • The city will conduct an odor treatment study at the Wilson Biofilter near Wilson Boulevard, Webster Street and Vine Street starting Monday, July 21 when Webster Environmental installs air collection and pressure equipment while manhole lids are removed for up to 5 hours. The study continues into Tuesday, July 22 — a westbound lane on Wilson Boulevard between Vine and Webster will be closed at 8 a.m. with traffic directed to Vine Street.  City of Mishawaka
