- ➤ Big Sister Briana and Little Sister Makia from Kosciusko County were named National Big Sister and Little Sister of the Year at a national conference on June 12; they will now serve as national advocates for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Northeast Indiana. - ➤ A recent survey found that most young adults in St. Joseph County do not understand the risks of unprotected sex, and an analysis of 2023 data ranked the county 130th among 345 large counties, with 2,100 cases marking a 19% decline from last year and a 30% drop from 2021's peak.
