- ➤ Dismas House will host its annual family picnic at Potato Creek State Park on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The free event will offer food, fun and a chance for people in transition, alumni and family members to connect—vehicle entry fees are $7 for Indiana vehicles and $9 for out-of-state. WNDU

- ➤ On July 24th, Mishawaka police saw a white Dodge Charger speeding near N Hickory Road and West Edison and stopped it, but the driver Carey Cornelius Kimble III sped away, hit a curb and a garage can, and ran on foot before officers caught him one block from a victim—he now faces charges for resisting law enforcement and is set to appear in court on August 4th. - ➤ Today the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross launched a billboard campaign (in partnership with five other women's religious groups) to promote gospel values amid recent arrests and aid cuts. The campaign features messages like 'I was hungry and you fed me' on a sign along Lincolnway East (with two additional signs planned for Sample and Michigan Streets in South Bend and Day Road in Mishawaka next month).
