- ➤ Skies in Mishawaka were clear for the bright Sturgeon Moon on Saturday night, but the nearly full moon will make the Perseid meteor shower peak on Aug. 12th and 13th hard to watch since it drowns out faint meteors — local skywatchers may only see a few bright shooting stars — so they should look for dark spots away from city lights.
