  • Hogan, a playful three-year-old dog weighing nearly 80 lbs, arrived at the South Bend Animal Resource Center (since early July) where he loves to play, explore, and sleep. He is ready for adoption by local families.  WSBT

  • AgriNovus Indiana’s Field Atlas program is connecting college students with opportunities in agbioscience by arranging company tours, on-farm visits, and meetings with industry leaders—Ivan Musingo from Notre Dame said his summer visits helped him plan to commercialize new products.  95.3 MNC

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • INDOT announced two consecutive bridge projects on State Road 10 starting today—first between Muckshaw Road and Maple Road at Wolf Creek and then between Maple Road and Lilac Road at Myers Ditch—to overlay bridge decks. State Road 10 will reopen in early October and drivers are urged to follow the official detour—State Road 17, State Road 110 and U.S. 31—for safe travel.  95.3 MNC

  • Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman has not yet chosen a starting quarterback as the team prepares for its season opener against Miami at Hard Rock Stadium—he praised both CJ Carr and Kenny Minchey for their improvements at fall camp and said further practice will decide the spot.  WNDU
