- ➤ The Children's Museum of South Bend hosted a mini golf fundraiser at Ninja Golf in Granger on Saturday — the event raised funds to support museum initiatives. Families enjoyed three themed golf courses and a pancake bar from Sugar Rush while joining face painting and raffle activities. ABC57
- ➤ The Food Bank of Northern Indiana is urging local residents to donate food and volunteer during Hunger Action Month as hunger reaches a decade-high level. - ➤ One person died and another was critically injured in a house fire on West Jefferson Boulevard in Mishawaka at 4 a.m. on September 6—firefighters are still investigating the cause of the blaze. 95.3 MNC
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ At 7:07 PM, St. Joseph County Police stopped a car near Hollyhock Road and Greenacre Street and found a suspect with a 50-state extradition warrant who fled, leading officers to pursue him from St. Joseph into Berrien and Elkhart Counties—where his abandoned vehicle was later located and a K-9 unit was used, while the investigation remains active. - ➤ On Sunday, hundreds gathered in front of Bond Hall at Notre Dame for the annual Rosary Rally that brought students, alumni, and local Catholics together in prayer and devotion to the Virgin Mary.
