- ➤ A 17-year-old is inviting people of all faiths to join a vigil tomorrow night at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mishawaka—an event to honor victims of a Michigan church shooting. WNDU
- ➤ Community leaders, healthcare partners, donors, and neighbors gathered on October 7 at 11:00 a.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony that opened the new Women’s Care Center in Mishawaka—its design offers private consultation rooms and free, confidential support for women and families. - ➤ Notre Dame launched an external investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against former rector Thomas King, who served from 1980 to 1997, and set up a special committee led by attorney Helen Cantwell — the inquiry will review both the allegations and how past complaints were handled. - ➤ Bethel University will host Go2BU — a free, 24-hour campus visit for high school juniors, seniors and transfer students on Oct. 16–17 where they will experience dorm life, chapel, tip-off madness, concerts and other activities. - ➤ The Mishawaka Common Council has updated its 2025 meeting schedule in accordance with Indiana law.
