A new survey by the Afterschool Alliance finds that 5 in 6 Indiana parents cannot access after-school programs for their children due to cost, transportation, and a shortage of options.
The study shows that nearly 412,000 children are not enrolled while advocates call for more support from government and local groups to help working families — a change they say is needed to improve safety and learning.

Mishawaka Utilities is working to restore power in southern Mishawaka near Dragoon Trail, Chandler Avenue, Spring Street and Marian High School.
