- ➤ The Indiana Department of Education asked the federal government for a waiver from some Elementary and Secondary Education Act requirements to cut red tape and let schools focus on student achievement — Governor Mike Braun and Secretary Katie Jenner said the waiver, if approved, would support gains in literacy and math and start in the 2026-2027 school year. 95.3 MNC
