- ➤ The South Bend school board approved an agreement on Nov 10th that made its district the highest paying in the region— officials say the change aims to boost teacher retention and attract more qualified staff. WNDU
- ➤ The Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation approved a new teachers’ agreement Monday night that raises the starting salary to $50,000 and the maximum to $86,777, with adjustments retroactive from July 1 until June 30 and a one-time $650 stipend for teachers with 120 school days. The contract also adds a 2% increase in stipends for teachers who coach or lead extracurricular activities — boosting benefits for staff. WNDU
