- ➤ This week, community meals will be offered at various venues with events such as Soup Night on Nov.18 at the YMCA O’Brien Center in South Bend, Thursday Burger Night on Nov.20 at the Galien American Legion Post 344, and a Fish, Chicken or Shrimp Fry on Nov.21 at Ryan A. Balmer American Legion Post 161 in Mishawaka. Additional gatherings including Kitchen Open, Pork Chop Dinner Buffet, Spaghetti Supper, a local flavors tasting, Hungarian Kolach Sale, Pancake & Biscuit Breakfast, Soup Night Out, an Andrzejki Celebration and Breakfast with Santa will run from Nov.21 through Dec.6 with prices ranging from $4 to $17 and options for dine-in or carryout. - ➤ Elroy is a three-year-old dog at South Bend Animal Resource Center who taps his paw when his back is scratched—he was a stray and is learning tricks, loving walks and outdoor play. He is friendly with other dogs, children and cats, making him a great match for a caring family. WSBT

- ➤ A survey of over 84,000 college students during the 2024-25 school year found that more than 30% are struggling with their mental health with over one third reporting moderate to severe depression and anxiety — local students at colleges like Saint Mary's noted the pressure is high. - ➤ Today, FSSA announced a new plan to change Medicaid-funded ABA therapy so it costs less and still helps children with autism—after listening to families and experts from May through September. - ➤ Notre Dame football remained at No.9 after a 37-15 win over Pittsburgh, and the team now has eight wins while Oklahoma jumped to No.8, making the Irish no longer the highest-ranked two-loss team—The Associated Press poll also placed Notre Dame at No.9 with Alabama falling to No.10, and the College Football Playoff committee ranking will be released Tuesday.
