- ➤ Hair Nation and Salon and Spa in Elkhart donated to the annual Toys for Tots collection drive, joining local groups like the St. Joseph County Police Reserves & Wings Etc. Their effort supports ongoing work to provide holiday gifts for families in Michiana. WNDU
- ➤ AT&T dropped off a truckload of toys at The WNDU Studios for the annual Toys for Tots drive on Dec. 6 & added to local efforts to spread holiday cheer among families. WNDU
- ➤ Berrien County Riders support the Toys for Tots drive as donations continue to roll in at local collection sites today, and Santa upholds a cherished local tradition by giving Emma Bratt a motorcycle ride (a nod to WNDU’s longstanding event). WNDU
- ➤ On Dec. 6, Wings Etc. donated over $36,000 to the annual Toys for Tots drive as part of its 14-year softball tournament tradition, supporting local families in need — the effort builds on longstanding community support. WNDU
- ➤ Ret. 1st Sgt. Sam Alameda, a longtime Toys for Tots organizer, remembered late WNDU programming director Michael Fowler for his lasting impact on our community during recent collection drives, with support from groups like Elkhart Indian Motorcycles and the American Legion. WNDU
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Elkhart and Mishawaka are launching Winterfest this weekend. In Mishawaka, a lighted parade (from City Hall to Ironworks Plaza) kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with ice skating, a holiday market, and a drone show (starting at 8:15 p.m.), while Elkhart hosts related festivities. WSBT
