  • Residents at Karl King Tower in Mishawaka are without heat this winter and use space heaters and ovens to stay warm. They say maintenance is slow to respond despite paying rent.  WSBT

  • Newsweek has released its 2026 list of America’s Most Responsible Companies, which names 11 Indiana firms including Elkhart-based Thor Industries + companies from Indianapolis, Jasper, Lafayette, Carmel, Batesville and Fort Wayne that performed well on environmental, social and governance measures.  InkFreeNews

  • Four Notre Dame faculty members (Margot Fassler, Sherif Girgis, Brad Gregory and Prashant Kamat) were inducted into the American Academy of Sciences and Letters on Nov. 12 at Decatur House in Washington, D.C. as recognition for their scholarly achievements.  Michiana Business News

  • Local leaders + union reps voiced support on Monday for proposed data center projects in St. Joseph County.  South Bend Tribune
  • Today, the St. Joseph County Council will vote on rezoning over 1,000 acres near New Carlisle along Chicago Trail for a data center planned by a New York developer (supporters note that confirmed water and power systems address local concerns).  WVPE

SPORTS NEWS

  • Notre Dame football star Jeremiyah Love broke the school's touchdown record with 21 scores and was named a Heisman Trophy finalist, the first since 2012. He will attend Heisman events in New York City on Friday.  South Bend Tribune
  • Kenny Minchey, the redshirt sophomore backup quarterback, will enter the transfer portal on Jan.-2 after appearing in six games this season; he has two seasons of eligibility remaining and is the fourth quarterback to transfer during Marcus Freeman's tenure.  South Bend Tribune
