- ➤ Goodwill is asking Mishawaka residents to donate gently used winter clothing for men, women and children this holiday season. Donations of coats, sweaters, boots, hats and gloves (tax-deductible) are accepted at local collection centers. WNDU
- ➤ Kristin Cooper from Pet Refuge introduced Gypsie, a 2-year-old dog seeking a furever home this week on WNDU 16 News Now, and she is available for adoption at the shelter (4626 S. Burnett Drive). WNDU
- ➤ Brick of Hope Ministries partnered with Michael McGann and Pastor John Ward to give away over 150 sweatshirts, jackets, and toys Monday morning at the John Glenn School Corporation. The ministry plans to expand its drive (seeking donations to buy a truck) to serve more rural Michiana areas. WNDU
- ➤ Ronald McDonald House Charities of Michiana has transformed Beacon Children's Hospital into a holiday shopping spot where families can get free toys and gift wrapping for their kids. The North Pole program is available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and on Christmas Eve (serving all hospitalized children). WNDU

- ➤ In 1944, families prepared for Christmas with hopes for the safe return of local soldiers - guest columnist John ‘Butch’ Dale recounted heartfelt letters from the battlefield that captured both sacrifice and hope, urging today’s community to remember those who served. InkFreeNews

- ➤ Developers will convert the former South Bend Tribune building into Colfax Corner, a 202,000 sqft hub expected to create 400 high-tech jobs, feature modern offices and an outdoor plaza. Ancora, Notre Dame & the city will begin construction in summer 2026 with completion by summer 2028. 95.3 MNC
